Marino and Kelly Named to ECC Women's Lacrosse Honor Roll

COLONIA, N.J. – Mercy University Women's Lacrosse senior Emily Marino (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) and sophomore Ashlinn Kelly (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Lacrosse Honor Roll for Week Four.

Marino had a team-high five caused turnovers and seven ground balls as Mercy went 2-0 on the week. The senior opened the week with a game-high four caused turnovers and five ground balls in Mercy's 15-14 win at Southern Connecticut State on Wednesday. Marino ended the week with one caused turnover and two ground balls in Mercy's 11-5 win at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.

Kelly had a team-high eight points on six goals and two assists to go with three caused turnovers, two ground balls and two caused turnovers as Mercy went 2-0 on the week. The sophomore opened the week with a game-high five points on four goals and an assist to go with three caused turnovers and two ground balls in Mercy's 15-14 win at Southern Connecticut State on Wednesday. Kelly ended the week with two goals, an assist, and one draw control in the 11-5 win at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.

The award is the first for Marino this season and the third for Kelly. Mercy has now earned 10 awards on the year.

Head Coach Dawn Sachs and the Mavericks resume action on Thursday when they host Saint Leo at 3 p.m.
