COLONIA, N.J. – Mercy University Field Hockey senior Kate Lynne Conklin (Greenvale, N.Y./Franklin Pierce University) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Field Hockey Player of the Week, junior Kaylise McClure (Lake Grove, N.Y./Sachem North) has been tabbed Goalkeeper of the Week, sophomore Gwendolyn Smith (Sound Beach, N.Y./Miller Place) has earned Defensive Player of the Week and freshman Addison Testa (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) has received Rookie of the Week for Week Three. Junior Madison Brefka (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero North Syracuse) and senior Alyssa Benvengo (East Islip, N.Y./Molloy University) have been named to the Honor Roll.

Conklin had a team-high three points on a goal and an assist as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. The senior scored her first collegiate goal and assisted on the game-winning goal in the Mavericks' 2-1 win at Franklin Pierce on Saturday.

McClure went 1-1 on the week with 36 saves, a .800 save percentage and 5.14 goals-against average. The junior opened the week with 19 saves in three quarters in the loss against Adelphi on Wednesday, recording her 200th career save. McClure ended the week with 17 saves and just one goal allowed to earn the win in Mercy's 2-1 win at Franklin Pierce on Saturday.

Smith recorded a defensive save in Mercy's loss to Adelphi on Wednesday and dished out an assist in the win at Franklin Pierce on Saturday.

Testa recorded her first collegiate assist against Adelphi on Wednesday.

Brefka scored the game-winning goal in Mercy's 2-1 win at Franklin Pierce on Saturday.

Benvengo scored the lone goal for Mercy in a loss to Adelphi on Wednesday.

The awards are the first for Conklin, Testa, and Benvengo this season and the second for McClure, Smith and Brefka. Mercy has now earned 10 awards on the year.

Head Coach Marissa Spinazzola and the Mavericks resume action on Sunday when they host Bentley at 12 p.m.
