Hanken Tjostheim picked up where he left off last season, leading the Mavericks with 10 goals and 22 points as Mercy went 4-0-2 during the month of September. The junior opened the month with both goals in Mercy’s 2-0 win over RV Adelphi on September 10th. The one-time ECC Offensive Player of the Week then had a career-high four goals in the Mavericks’ win at Staten Island on September 13th. The forward followed that up with two goals in Mercy’s win over RV West Chester on September 18th. Hanken Tjostheim added an assist in the Mavericks’ 1-1 tie against D’Youville on September 21st before ending the month with two goals and an assist in the win at UDC on September 28th. Hanken Tjostheim currently leads Division II in goals and points per game.
