Mercy University Athletics

Murphy opened her season with a strong month of March for the Mavericks, hitting a team-high .346 with 12 RBI and a team-high 14 runs, 27 hits, eight doubles and nine stolen bases as Mercy went 11-11 to open the season. The second baseman opened the season going 2-for-8 with an RBI and a run in the sweep of Bloomfield on March 1st. The sophomore later went 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs in the win over Bloomfield on March 10th. Murphy went 2-for-6 with an RBI at Adelphi on March 16th before going 3-for-6 with a run and an RBI in the sweep of Staten Island on March 19th. The two-time ECC Honor Roll recipient during the month went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI in the game two win over AIC on March 22nd before going 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI in the game two win at STAC on March 25th. Murphy then went 7-for-8 with three runs and two RBI in the sweep of New Haven on March 27th to end the month.
