Mercy University Athletics

Griffin continued his strong play in the month of December averaging a double-double with 18.8 points and 13.3 rebounds per game as Mercy went 2-2 on the month. The redshirt sophomore recorded a double-double in all four games, starting the month with ten points and 11 rebounds against St. Thomas Aquinas on December 5th. Griffin then posted 21 points and 14 rebounds in the Mavericks win at UDC on December 8th. The forward posted a month-high 26 points along with 12 rebounds on 10-of-17 shooting in Mercy’s win over Queens on December 12th. The two-time ECC Defensive Player of the Week and two-time MBWA Division II-III Player of the Week Honorable Mention recipient ended the month with 18 points and a month-high 16 rebounds at Molloy on December 15th.
