Caballero opened his collegiate career with a great month of February, hitting a team-high .424 with a team-high 14 hits, five runs, six RBI and two home runs. The freshman recorded a hit in all eight games he played in. The one-time ECC Player of the Week opened his Mercy career going 2-for-9 with an RBI and a stolen base against No. 14 Goldey-Beacom and Le Moyne on February 19th. Caballero then went -5-for-8 with three runs and an RBI in the Mavericks sweep against Le Moyne and Goldey-Beacom on February 20th. The shortstop helped lead the Mavericks to their first win over a ranked team since 2018. The freshman went 3-for-4 with his first collegiate home run and two RBI against Felician on February 25th. Caballero then went 2-for-7 in a doubleheader against nationally-ranked Southern N.H. on February 26th before ending the month with a 2-for-5 day with two RBI and a home run against Franklin Pierce on February 27th.
