Scorcia ended his career on a high note, helping lead the Mavericks to their first-ever appearance in the National Championship Game during the month of May. The graduate student had a team-high 17 goals with seven assists and 13 ground balls as Mercy went 4-1 during the month. Scorcia opened the month with nine points on five goals and four assists in the Mavericks 17-11 ECC Semifinal win over Roberts Wesleyan on May 4th. The attackman followed that up with three goals and two assists in the Mavericks ECC Championship win over Frostburg State on May 7th. Scorcia helped lead Mercy to their third straight NCAA Tournament berth and had four goals in the Mavericks Quarterfinal win over Seton Hill on May 15th. The graduate student then had three goals, including the game-winning goal in double-overtime, to lead Mercy to the National Championship Game with a 12-11 win over Le Moyne on May 22nd. The First Team All-ECC selection ended the month with two goals and one assist against Tampa in the National Championship Game on May 29th as Mercy finished as a national runner-up for the first time in school history. Scorcia was named Third Team All-American by the USILA and was named Second Team All-Region by the USILA.
