Elvestad had a strong month of September for the Mavericks going 5-0-3 with 22 saves, a .786 save percentage and 0.76 goals-against average in eight starts. The two-time ECC Defensive Player of the Week during the month recorded four shutouts during the month and helped lead Mercy to being regionally-ranked and receiving votes nationally. The junior opened the month with four saves in the win over Saint Rose on September 2nd and followed that up with two saves in the draw against Adelphi on September 6th. Elvestad posted his first shutout of the season on September 9th when he made four saves in a 1-0 win over Southern Connecticut State. The native of Norway made three saves in a 0-0 draw against AIC on September 13th and made a month-high six saves in the Mavericks 3-1 win at Queens on September 23rd. Elvestad made one save to earn the shutout in a 0-0 draw against Staten Island on September 27th and made one save to earn the win at Roberts Wesleyan on September 30th.
