Scouting the Mavericks

Mercy is coming off a 4-1 Florida trip that saw them improve their overall record to 7-4. The Mavericks have been led at the plate by sophomore Destini Bullock who currently leads the ECC in batting average (.419), RBI (16) and home runs (4). Bullock has a team-best .903 slugging percentage and has a team-high-tying nine runs scored on the year. Also excelling at the dish is senior Cassidy Wootten who has batted .529 with two home runs and four RBI in five games this season. Senior Skania Lemus is hitting .323 with three home runs, ten RBI and also has nine runs scored. Junior Mackenzie Dunlop was named to the ECC Honor Roll last week and is hitting .379 with six RBI in her first season as a Maverick. Freshman Hannah Mueller received ECC Rookie of the Week honors last week and is batting .313 with eight runs scored and six RBI. Leading the Mavericks in the circle is junior Kaylee Stevens who is 3-2 with a 1.96 ERA in 25.0 innings with one save. Stevens currently leads the ECC in ERA and has allowed just 15 hits in 25 innings. The junior has also swung the bat well batting .375 with four RBI in 24 at bats.

Scouting the Setters

Pace opened up their season with six games in California and went 1-5 with their lone win coming over Academy of Art. The Setters went 18-23 last season and have been led at the plate by Jordan Chillinsky who is batting a team-best .375 with three hits and a run in eight at bats. Niyah Brown is hitting .250 through 12 at bats and has a team-high three RBI and two home runs. Gianna Fletcher, Jillian Gartner, Larissa Labs and Emma Schafer have all recorded one RBI and Labs leads the team with four hits on the year. The pitching staff is led by MacKenzie Garrick who is 1-2 with a 2.53 ERA in 19.1 innings. Emma Bernet has made two starts and is 0-1 with a 2.56 ERA in 13.2 innings pitched with one complete game.
