Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy is coming off a sweep of Pace on Tuesday that saw them improve their record to 9-4. The Mavericks have been led offensively by sophomore Destini Bullock who leads the ECC with 18 RBI and four home runs. Bullock is hitting .359 and is currently second in the ECC with a .744 slugging percentage. Senior Skania Lemus is fourth in the ECC in batting with a .389 average and is fifth in the ECC with 13 RBI. Lemus is also second in the conference with 13 runs scored and has three home runs in 36 at bats. Junior Kaylee Stevens is batting .370 with four RBI and has also excelled in the circle with an ECC-best 2.33 ERA in 30.0 innings with 20 strikeouts. Junior Mackenzie Dunlop is hitting an impressive .353 in her first season as a Maverick and is second in the ECC with four stolen bases. Junior Mikayla Newham is ranked fourth in the ECC with a .479 on base percentage and has 11 runs and six RBI on the year.
Scouting the Golden Knights
Saint Rose enters the contest having swept St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday. The Golden Knights are currently 4-8 and are coming off a season in which they went 11-24. Senior Katie Shevlin leads Saint Rose at the plate with a .452 average and ten runs scored. The outfielder has also hit a home run and driven in four runs in 31 at bats. Freshman Ryane Brush leads the Golden Knights with eight RBI and is batting .364 in 33 at bats. The pitching staff is led by Emily Kurtzner who has a team-best 3.32 ERA with a 3-3 record in 40.0 innings.
