Adelphi was led by Steven Withers who went 3-for-5 with a game-high three RBI and two runs scored. Kieran McLaughlin earned the win on the mound with a scoreless inning of relief.

The Panthers opened the contest with the game's first runs in the bottom of the first to take a 2-0 lead. The Mavericks quickly answered in the top of the second with two runs to knot the score up at 2-2. Perez and Young opened the inning with back-to-back singles and would later come around to score on a throwing error by the Adelphi shortstop.

Adelphi retook the lead in the bottom of the third with a run scored on a wild pitch to take a 3-2 lead. Mercy once again responded in their next at bat with a run to tie the game again at 3-3. Sadallah brought home Young on a groundout to second to even up the game.

The Panthers took control of the game with four runs in the bottom of the fifth to build a 7-3 advantage. The Mavericks plated a run in the top of the sixth on a Sadallah RBI single that scored freshman Zak Kain (Dingmans Ferry, Pa./Delaware Valley), making it 7-4.
