Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy is coming off a sweep of Lincoln their last time out and have their most wins in a season since 2014. Leading the Mavericks at the plate is junior Joseph Sadallah who is batting a team-high .343 with a team-high 11 doubles and 30 runs scored. The third baseman also has a home run, 13 RBI and 23 stolen bases. Junior Anthony Murphy is hitting .319 with an ECC-best 34 RBI and has 20 runs and ten doubles. Junior Miguel Ortiz Sanchez is second on the team with 23 RBI and sophomore John Mooradian is second on the team with a .333 average and leads the ECC with 26 stolen bases. Junior Adonis Garcia has 21 RBI and an ECC-high-tying seven home runs with a .271 average in 96 at bats. The pitching staff is led by junior Kevin Tise who is 2-2 with a 4.17 ERA in 41.0 innings with 32 strikeouts. Freshman Jack Kelly has pitched to a 5.45 ERA in 34.2 innings and freshman Noah Krzyzak is 2-2 in 25.2 innings and six starts.
Scouting the Knights
Queens enters this weekend's games with eight straight losses and is led at the plate by redshirt senior Kevin Kolesar who is batting a team-high .354 with ten RBI and a team-high 35 hits. Junior Andrew Navarez has a team-high 16 RBI and is hitting .232 with a home run. Sophomore Eric Roubal is second on the team with 15 RBI and is fourth in the ECC with six home runs and has ten runs. Junior Matthew Stepnoski has three home runs, 11 RBI and a team-high 13 runs scored. The pitching staff is led by junior Michael Lamneck who has a team-best 2.63 ERA in 27.1 innings with a 1-0 record. Freshman Dylan Hughes is 1-4 with a 4.04 ERA in 35.2 innings and Dennis Buckstein has a 4.89 ERA in a team-high 42.1 innings with a 2-4 record.
