Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy got back in the win column with a sweep of Queens on Saturday and currently sit in third place in the ECC standings. The Mavericks are led at the plate by senior Cassidy Wootten who is hitting a team-high .400 with 20 RBI and four home runs in 65 at bats. Senior Allie Pellizzaro is batting .377 with nine RBI and 11 runs scored and senior Skania Lemus is batting .305 with a team-high five home runs, 19 runs and 20 RBI. Sophomore Destini Bullock is also hitting well, batting .279 with a team-high-tying 20 RBI and has four home runs. The pitching staff is led by junior Yazzy Jameson who is 6-4 with a 3.13 ERA in 67.0 innings with 47 strikeouts. Junior Raina Gorman is 5-3 with a 3.46 ERA in 54.2 innings and junior Kaylee Stevens is 4-3 with a team-best 2.70 ERA in 46.2 innings.
Scouting the Lions
The Lions have dropped two games in a row and currently sit five games above .500 heading into Tuesday's games. Georgian Court is led at the plate by Samantha Reilly who is batting an impressive .505 with 16 home runs, 45 RBI and 30 runs scored in 103 at bats. Samantha Salomon is second on the team with six home runs and 23 RBI and is batting .295 on the year. Jessica O'Neil leads the pitching staff with a 2.75 ERA and 10-7 record in 104.1 innings with 33 strikeouts. Taylor Baloga is 5-5 with a 4.28 ERA in 11 starts with 54.0 innings pitched and 24 strikeouts.
Scouting the Spartans
St. Thomas Aquinas is coming off a split against first-place LIU Post on Thursday and sits just a few percentage points behind Mercy for third place. The Spartans are led by sophomore Ashley Landolina who is batting .436 with four home runs, 17 RBI and 23 runs scored. Junior Amanda Leone is hitting .263 with 15 RBI and two home runs and junior Kelcy McGeehan is batting .313 with a team-high eight doubles and has 11 RBI. The pitching staff is led by junior Briana Keaveney who is 5-9 with a 3.87 ERA in 88.2 innings with 47 strikeouts. Junior Colleen Borum is 5-9 with a 5.27 ERA in 93.0 innings with 38 strikeouts.
