Anderson came back with a shot on goal in the 13th minute, but Savage made a save to keep the score 1-0. Amell made a save in the 20th minute, but the Panthers would increase the lead to 2-0 in the 21st minute. Zaneski took a shot from the left side and Kempf deflected the ball into the net to give Adelphi an insurance goal.
Adelphi headed into halftime with a 2-0 lead after holding a 6-1 edge in shots.
Pettit would make seven saves total in the second half to keep the Mavericks within striking distance. Anthony produced Mercy's second shot on goal of the game in the 55th minute, but Savage was up to the challenge to keep it 2-0. Petit made six saves in the half until Frein scored on a give and go following a penalty corner from Brown that made it 3-0 in the 61st minute.
The Mavericks would be unable to score and the Panthers came away with the win.
