Scouting the Mavericks
Mercy is coming off a walk-off win over Queens on Sunday in the tenth inning. Junior John Mooradian is hitting .363 with 18 RBI and 12 stolen bases and senior Adonis Garcia is batting .329 with 17 RBI and two home runs. Senior Joseph Sadallah is batting .324 and has a team-high 25 runs and 21 stolen bases. Sadallah drove in the winning run in the tenth inning on a single to right field against Queens on Sunday. The pitching staff is led by senior Kevin Tise who has a team-high three wins and a team-best 5.70 ERA in 30.0 innings. Junior Andrew Hernandez has a 0.00 ERA with five saves and 12 strikeouts in 9.2 innings.
Scouting the Panthers
Adelphi enters Tuesday's game on a five-game winning streak and is coming off a doubleheader sweep of Merrimack on Sunday. The Panthers are led by Brandon Morse who is batting a team-best .417 with ten RBI and 18 runs scored. Lawrence Cicileo has a team-high 20 RBI and is hitting .382 with four home runs. Thomas Colombo is batting .276 and is tied for the team lead with four home runs. The pitching staff is led by Ed Baram who has a 3-0 record and a 0.70 ERA in four starts. Tom Ambrosino has a 1-0 record and has thrown 10.1 scoreless innings to start the season. Nicolas Luc is 2-2 with a 4.15 ERA in 21.2 innings.
