DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Apr. 24, 2019) – The Mercy College baseball team resumes action on Saturday, April 27th when they host Lincoln University for a doubleheader at 12 p.m. The Mavericks will then play a doubleheader against the Lions on Sunday.

Scouting the Mavericks
The Mavericks took three out of four against St. Thomas Aquinas this past weekend and are led at the plate by junior John Mooradian who is batting a team-high .392 with a team-high 38 RBI and 60 hits. The shortstop also has 18 stolen bases and seven triples on the year. Senior Anthony Murphy is batting .322 with a team-high four home runs along with 33 RBI in 41 starts. Senior Joseph Sadallah is hitting .313 with a team-high 28 stolen bases and 41 runs. The pitching staff is led by junior Luis Grullart who has a team-best 4.24 ERA in 46.2 innings. Sophomore Jack Kelly is 4-4 with a 4.86 ERA in 50.0 innings and junior Andrew Hernandez leads the bullpen with nine saves.
Scouting the Lions
Lincoln is coming off being swept by NYIT this past weekend and have lost 25 straight games. The Lions are led at the plate by Kashif Hill who is batting a team-high .341 with a team-high 15 RBI. Max Guadalupe is batting .244 with nine RBI and a team-high 13 runs scored. Malcolm Smith has a team-high-tying two home runs on the year with nine RBI. The pitching staff is led by Jordan Whisler who has a 9.47 ERA in 38.0 innings pitched. Ronald Gibbs is 1-7 on the mound with a 10.66 ERA in 39.2 innings.
