Quick Bio

Morales, a Hopewell Junction, New York native, is in his sophomore year at Mercy, where he majors in Sports Management. The sophomore transferred in from Roger Williams University last year.

Getting to Know AJ

Q: Who or what inspired you to play sports?

A: My dad inspired me to play basketball especially because he played at the professional level.

Q: What is your favorite sport memory at Mercy College?

A:  My favorite sport memory is when we beat Queens College the first day I transferred in.

Q: What is your biggest accomplishment on or off the field?

A: I haven't played a game yet but my biggest accomplishment off the field was getting a 4.0.

Q: Do you have any pregame superstitions?

A: Before every game I hit my shoes twice for support of my loved ones I've lost.

Q: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

A: If I could only eat one meal for the rest of my life it would be steak.

Q: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?

A: My superpower would be to fly just to witness the world from a different perspective.

Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?

A: My favorite TV show is Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Q: What is your major and what do you want to do with it?

A: My major is Business management with a specialty in Sports Management and I would like to work for the NBA.

Q: What do you hope to do when your playing days are over?

A: I want to own multiple companies and manage them.

Q: What is your favorite social media app?

A: My favorite social media app is Snapchat.

Q: What is your favorite hobby?

A: My favorite hobby is fishing.

Q: Who is your favorite athlete?

A: My favorite athlete is LeBron James.

Q: Who is your favorite professional sports team?

A: My favorite professional sports team is the Los Angeles Lakers.

Q: Who are your favorite musicians?

A: My favorite musicians are Meek Mill, Pop Smoke and Ozuna.

Q: Who is the teammate you are closest with and what do enjoy doing together?

A: Korey Lee, Jonathan Lapierre and Brandon Wilson.

Q: What is your favorite meal from the café?

A: My favorite meal for the cafe is a Chicken Quesadilla.
