Mitchell, an Edison, New Jersey native, is in his junior year at Mercy, where he majors in Business.
Getting to Know Elijah
Q: Who or what inspired you to play sports?
A: The person that inspired me to play basketball was my dad and my older brother. They kept me around basketball my whole life.
Q: What is your favorite sport memory at Mercy College?
A: I don't have any favorite sports memory here yet, but I want my favorite sports memory here to be a championship.
Q: What is your biggest accomplishment on or off the field?
A: Biggest accomplishment on the court will probably be winning back-to-back championships in high school. Off the court, I would say my biggest accomplishment would be getting my associate's in Sports Management.
Q: Do you have any pregame superstitions?
A: Before games I usually whisper to myself "I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me" and then tap the floor twice
Q: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?
A: If I could I would eat french fries every day for the rest of my life.
Q: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
A: I would want super speed because I just want to be able to go anywhere very fast.
Q: What is your favorite movie or TV show?
A: My favorite TV show is Rick and Morty
Q: What is your major and what do you want to do with it?
A: I major in Business and I want to be a sports analyst one day

A: I would hope to coach and inspire others to play basketball Â

A: I am closest with my roommate James Taylor. We just be vibing and make a lot of jokes

A: My hidden talent is I can speak French pretty well

A: The place I went for my favorite vacation is to Oregon for my brother's baby shower

A: I was a filing clerk at my mom's job
