Scouting the Mavericks

• Mercy is coming off 8-0 and 4-3 victories over D'Youville on Friday to improve to 4-0 in ECC play for the first time in school history.
• Mercy was picked to finish 3rd in the ECC Preseason Poll and senior Hannah Mueller was named ECC Preseason Player of the Year.
• Mercy went 5-5 during the 2020 shortened season and went 24-26 during their last full season in 2019 just missing the ECC Tournament.
• The Mavericks last made the ECC Tournament in 2018 and made the NCAA Tournament in 2017 after winning their first ECC Championship.
• Mercy is looking to start 6-2 for the first time since 2019.
• The Mavericks are currently on a four-game winning streak. Mercy last won six games in a row in 2018.  
• Mercy is 7-4 against Felician dating back to 2010. The Mavericks have won the last four meetings.
• Junior Alexis Crawford was named ECC Player of the Week on Monday and is batting a team-high .524 on the year with a team-high 11 hits, three runs and six stolen bases. She also has three RBI and one double on the year. Senior Hannah Mueller is 5-for-8 at the plate this season and was named to the ECC Honor Roll on Monday. She has two RBI and two runs scored on the year.
• Sophomore Sydney Johnston is second on the team with a .385 average and has five hits and three runs scored. Senior Danielle Burgos is batting .333 with three runs, an RBI and a stolen base. Sophomore Samantha Franck has a team-high eight RBI and two home runs on the year.
• Sophomore Alexi Benson leads the Mavericks in the circle with a 1.75 ERA and 15 strikeouts in 12 innings. She was named ECC Rookie of the Week on Monday after earning the win in both of her starts last week. Senior Jessica Becchetti has a 3.20 ERA in 15.1 innings with 13 strikeouts and is 1-1 on the season.
• Junior Catherine Zucker has pitched nine innings of relief and has a 3.11 ERA with nine strikeouts. She earned the win in Mercy's game two victory over D'Youville on Friday.  

Scouting the Golden Falcons

• Felician is coming off 8-5 and 11-2 losses to East Stroudsburg on Wednesday.
• The Golden Falcons were picked in a tie for seventh in the CACC Preseason Poll.
• Felician went 5-11 during the 2020 shortened season and went 15-30 during their last full season in 2019.
• Felician opened the season 1-9 but is 4-4 in their last eight games.
• On Monday, the Golden Falcons earned 10-1 and 8-6 victories over Chestnut Hill.
• Felician is led at the plate by freshman Mia Martinez who is batting a team-high .365 with a team-high 14 RBI and four home runs. She also has 13 runs scored and a team-high four stolen bases. Graduate student Nicole Spiegelberg is hitting .320 with three home runs and nine RBI and freshman Daisha Howard has a team-high-tying four home runs with 10 RBI.
• Redshirt freshman Vienna Chierchia is second on the team with 13 RBI and has a team-high six doubles with 10 runs scored.
• The pitching staff is led by junior Martarina Crumb who is 2-5 with a 5.40 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 45.1 innings pitched. Redshirt freshman Abby Poirot is 2-5 with a 7.11 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 43.1 innings.
