DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (July 27, 2022) – The Mercy College women's lacrosse team has earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad honors for the 2021-22 academic year, as announced by the organization earlier today. The Mavericks have now received the award in seven straight years. The IWLCA also honored 517 student-athletes from 68 different institutions on the 2022 IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll. A total of 10 Mavericks earned a nod on this year's squad as Alexandra Bigilin, Taylor Bishop, Micayla Brady, Erin Chalich, Briana Corace, Sydney Corley, Kerri Cummings, Katie Jelliffe, Gianna Mott and Kayla Reese received the honor.

To qualify for the Academic Honor Squad, a school must have posted a 3.2 GPA or higher during the year. The Mavericks under Head Coach Dawn Sachs were one of 56 Division II schools to receive the honor and one of two ECC schools to take home the award.

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
