DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Oct. 25, 2023) – The Mercy University men's basketball team has announced its 2023-24 regular season schedule. The Mavericks look to qualify for the ECC Championship for the second time in four seasons, entering the season with 12 home games.
Head Coach Chris Watts and the Mavericks open their 2023-24 season on Friday, November 10th at Caldwell. Mercy will then face Dominican on November 12th at Caldwell before playing at Felician on November 13th.
The Mavericks will host Southern Connecticut State in their home opener on November 15th before playing Goldey-Beacom (Nov. 18) and Post (Nov. 19) at St. Thomas Aquinas. Mercy concludes the month of November with a home game against Bridgeport on November 21st.
Mercy begins ECC play on December 2nd at St. Thomas Aquinas before hosting Staten Island on December 6th. The Mavericks play at District of Columbia on December 9th before ending the 2023 portion of their schedule with an exhibition at Division I Sacred Heart on December 30th.
Watts and the Mavericks begin the New Year with home games against Cheyney (Jan. 3) and Bloomfield (Jan. 9) before playing at Roberts Wesleyan (Jan. 12) and Chestnut Hill (Jan. 16). Mercy resumes ECC play with home games against D'Youville (Jan. 19) and Daemen (Jan. 21) before playing at Staten Island on January 24th.
The Mavericks host District of Columbia on January 27th before ending the month of January with a road game at Queens on January 31st. Mercy begins the month of February with back-to-back home games against Molloy (Feb. 3) and Roberts Wesleyan (Feb. 9). The Mavericks then head to D'Youville (Feb. 16) and Daemen (Feb. 18) before hosting Queens on February 21st.
Mercy concludes the month of February with a road game at Molloy on February 24th before ending the regular season at home against St. Thomas Aquinas on March 2nd.
The First Round of the ECC Tournament will take place on March 6th followed by the Semifinals on March 9th and Final on March 10th. The higher seeds will host in the first round and the semifinals and final will be played at the highest seed.
