Rosenfeld Named to 2023 NFHCA Division II Senior Team

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Nov. 15, 2023) – Mercy University field hockey senior Kelly Rosenfeld (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) has been named to the 2023 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II Senior Team. The Senior Team pays tribute to the student-athletes' entire collegiate careers and celebrates the seniors for their accomplishments and impact on and off the field.

Rosenfeld is one of 38 student-athletes from 21 different Division II institutions to earn the accolade. The senior has appeared in and started in 47 games in three seasons with 12 goals, 11 assists, 35 points and two game-winning goals. The midfielder ranks in the top 10 in program history in goals, assists and points. In 2021, Rosenfeld started 17 games and had one goal, three assists and five points, recording a season-high three points on a goal and an assist in the win over Molloy. Last season, she started 12 games and had five goals and 10 points. She ranked third on the team in goals and fifth in points. This season, the senior started all 18 games and was named to the NE10 Honor Roll once after posting six goals, eight assists and 20 points. Rosenfeld tied the single-season school record for assists and ranked third on the team in goals and points. Rosenfeld helped lead the Mavericks to a school-record eight wins the last two seasons and helped guide Mercy to their first-ever NE10 Championship appearance this season.

The senior received a bachelor's degree in mathematics and is now pursuing a master's degree in secondary math education. She has been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll and has maintained above a 3.0 GPA while also being an All-Conference performer on the Mercy University women's lacrosse team.
