WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (Nov. 20, 2023) – Mercy University men's basketball senior Jayden Dewaal (Toronto, Canada/Trinidad State Junior College) has been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Men's Basketball Honor Roll for Week Two.

Dewaal averaged a team-high 21.5 points and 12.8 rebounds per game on a team-best 60.0 percent shooting in four games this week. The senior had three double-doubles during the week. The forward opened the week with a career-high 32 points on 15-of-18 shooting with 15 rebounds at Felician on Monday. Dewaal then had 18 points and nine rebounds against Southern Connecticut State on Wednesday. The senior later had 18 points and a game-high 17 rebounds against Goldey-Beacom on Saturday, recording his 500th career rebound. Dewaal ended the week with 18 points and 10 rebounds against Post on Sunday.

The award is the first earned by Dewaal this season and the second earned by the Mavericks.
