DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (May 17, 2023) – Mercy College softball freshman Cayla Crawford (Hemet, Calif./West Valley) has been named Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Second Team All-Region.

Crawford is named All-Region by the D2CCA after being named First Team All-Region by the NFCA last week. The ECC Rookie of the Year and First Team All-ECC selection was named ECC Rookie of the Week five times and ECC Player of the Week once. The freshman led the ECC in average (.434) with 53 hits, 31 runs, 22 RBI, five home runs, eight doubles, one triple and 15 stolen bases. Crawford ranked second on the team in home runs, stolen bases, runs and hits and was third in RBI. The freshman ranks No. 35 nationally in batting average and No. 58 nationally in on-base percentage (.493).
