WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (Apr. 15, 2024) – Mercy University men's lacrosse senior Jason Kuehner (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week and graduate student Justin Gerdvil (East Northport, N.Y./Northport) has been tabbed Defensive Player of the Week for Week 10. Senior Andrew Calabria (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) was tabbed to the Honor Roll.
Kuehner scored two goals, went 21-of-29 on face-offs, and had a game-high 12 ground balls as Mercy earned a 16-12 conference win at No. 16 Frostburg State on Saturday.
Gerdvil had a game-high four caused turnovers with six ground balls in Mercy's 16-12 conference win over No. 16 Frostburg State on Saturday. The graduate student recorded his 100th career caused turnover in the win.
Calabria had a team-high six points on three goals and three assists with one ground ball in Mercy's 16-12 conference win at No. 16 Frostburg State on Saturday.
The award is the ninth for Kuehner this season, the fourth for Gerdvil and the third for Calabria. Mercy has now earned 34 awards on the year.
Head Coach Ryan MacSpadyen and the Mavericks resume action on Sunday when they host Mercyhurst at 12 p.m.
