DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Mercy University Men's Lacrosse seniors Jack Agres (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale), Michael Corbo (Bethpage, N.Y./Bethpage) and Matthew Magyar (Floral Park, N.Y./Wingate University), junior Jake Norton (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) and sophomores Cole Hunsberger (Waterloo, Ontario/Grand River Collegiate Institute) and Liam Neimeth (Farmingville, N.Y./Belmont Abbey College) have been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division II Men's At-Large Academic All-District Team.
Agres is named Academic All-District for the first time and graduated in May with a 3.77 GPA as a Nursing major. The senior was named to the ECC Honor Roll three times and recorded 27 goals, 10 assists and 37 points in 15 games.
Corbo receives All-District honors for the second straight year and graduated in May with a 3.70 GPA as a Finance major. The senior started all 15 games and posted 27 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers.
Magyar takes home All-District honors for the first time and graduated in May with a 3.77 GPA as a Communications major. The Second Team All-ECC selection and one-time ECC Offensive Player of the Week led the team with 35 goals and was fourth in the ECC in goals after starting all 15 games.
Norton is named All-District for the second straight year and has a 3.82 GPA as a Business major. The one-time ECC Defensive Player of the Week started 13 games and had four goals, one assist, 37 ground balls and eight caused turnovers.
Hunsberger receives All-District honors for the first time and has a 3.93 GPA as a Biomedical Sciences major. The ECC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for Men's Lacrosse, USILA All-Region Honorable Mention and First Team All-ECC selection started all 15 games, leading the team with 36 assists and 67 points. The one-time ECC Offensive Player of the Week led the ECC in assists and was second in points.
Neimeth takes home All-District accolades for the first time and has a 3.66 GPA as a Business major. The USILA All-Region Honorable Mention and First Team All-ECC recipient appeared in 15 games making 12 starts, recording one goal, two assists, 37 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers.
