DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (June 18, 2024) – The Mercy University men's lacrosse team has been crowned the 2023-24 NCAA Division II statistical champions for shot percentage.
Mercy led Division II with a 0.396 shot percentage in 16 games this season. Mercy concluded the season with 272 goals on 687 shots. The Mavericks ended the season 14-2, winning their fifth straight ECC Championship and qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the fifth straight season. Mercy ended the season ranked No. 6 nationally in the USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse polls.
This is the second straight year men's lacrosse has produced a statistical champion. Last year, Brady Kearnan was crowned statistical champion in points per game and TJ Heyder earned the honor for shot percentage.
