DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Jan. 14, 2025) – Mercy University men's basketball freshman Ethan Robertson (Boston, Mass./The Winchendon School) has been named Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Division II-III Player of the Week Honorable Mention for games played Jan. 6-12.
Robertson averaged a team-high 21.0 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game as Mercy went 1-1 on the week. The Mercy freshman opened the week with a game-high-tying 22 points with eight rebounds in the Mavs loss to Staten Island on Wednesday. The forward ended the week with a game-high 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting with eight rebounds in Mercy's 71-70 win over UDC on Saturday.
The award is the eighth for Robertson this season and the Mavericks have earned 17 awards on the year.
