DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Jan. 3, 2025) – The Mercy University Athletic Department continued to excel in the classroom during the fall 2024 semester, ending the semester with a program-best 3.58 cumulative GPA.

The 3.58 GPA comes after the department posted a 3.52 cumulative GPA in the spring 2024 semester. The previous highest GPA set by the department was a 3.55 GPA during the spring 2020 semester. It marks the 22nd straight semester that the department posted above a 3.0 cumulative GPA. All 10 teams posted above a 3.0 GPA. The success in the classroom translated to 40 student-athletes recording a perfect 4.0 GPA during the semester and 193 student-athletes out of 238 total student-athletes recording a 3.25 GPA or higher during the fall semester. Currently 187 student-athletes have above a 3.25 cumulative GPA.

The volleyball team recorded the highest GPA for fall 2024, checking in at 3.80. The men's soccer team had the highest GPA out of male teams with a 3.78 GPA.
