Volleyball Receiving Votes Nationally in Final AVCA Top 25 Poll

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Volleyball Team is receiving votes nationally in the final American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II Top 25 Poll.

The Mavericks ended the 2025 season 22-5, winning their first ECC Regular Season and Tournament Championships since 2001. Mercy also qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year, advancing to the East Region Final for the first time since 2001. The Mavericks receive recognition in the final AVCA Poll for the first time since 2001 when they ended the season ranked No. 22 nationally. Mercy ended the season with their most wins since 2001.

ECC Coach of the Year Ana Todorovic and the Mavericks had three AVCA All-Americans, highlighted by senior Gabriela Bieniek who was named Honorable Mention All-American, AVCA First Team All-Region, D2CCA First Team All-Region and ECC Player of the Year after leading the team in kills and kills per set. Junior Adriana Rivera Rodriguez was also named AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, AVCA First Team All-Region and ECC Setter of the Year after leading the ECC in assists and assists per set. Sophomore Grace Dilena was named AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, AVCA First Team All-Region, D2CCA Second Team All-Region, First Team All-ECC and the ECC Championship's Most Outstanding Player after ranking second on the team in kills and third in digs.
