COLONIA, N.J. (Apr. 28, 2025) – Mercy University men's lacrosse sophomore Cameron Dorfman (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week and seniors Ryan Smith (Bethpage, N.Y./Bethpage) and Owen Stephenson (Glen Rock, N.J./UDC) have been tabbed to the Honor Roll for Week 11.
Dorfman made a game-high 18 saves with just 12 goals allowed to earn the win in Mercy's 13-12 overtime win over #15 Molloy that gave Mercy their sixth straight ECC Regular Season Championship. The sophomore also scored the game-winning goal off a full field shot in overtime and added six ground balls and a caused turnover that gave Mercy the ECC Championship over Molloy.
Smith had a game-high-tying five points on a game-high-tying three goals with two assists and one ground ball in Mercy's 13-12 overtime win over #15 Molloy on Friday that gave Mercy their sixth straight ECC Regular Season Championship.
Stephenson had a game-high-tying three caused turnovers with four ground balls in Mercy's 13-12 overtime win over #15 Molloy on Friday.
The award is the fifth for Dorfman this season, the fifth for Smith and the sixth for Stephenson. Mercy has now earned 38 awards on the year.
Head Coach Ryan MacSpadyen and the Mavericks resume action on Wednesday when they host Roberts Wesleyan at 3 p.m.
