COLONIA, N.J. (May 1, 2025) – Mercy University softball senior Skylar Brandemarte (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Stonehill College) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Softball Co-Pitcher of the Year, headlining three Mavericks named to the ECC Softball All-Conference Teams. Brandemarte was named First Team All-ECC and sophomores Allison Murphy (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland) and Dylan Reyer (Baldwin, N.Y./Baldwin) were tabbed Second Team All-ECC.
Brandemarte is named Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-ECC following her lone season as a Maverick. In her first season in the conference after transferring in from Stonehill, Brandemarte topped the ECC with a 1.53 earned run average, going 12-7 overall (7-3 ECC) with just 30 earned runs and 86 strikeouts in 137.2 innings pitched. The Mercy lefty held opponents to a .247 batting average, the lower among ECC pitchers. Across 20 ECC games, Brandemarte posted a 1.90 ERA, allowing just 19 earned runs in a conference-leading 70.0 innings pitch while also earning a pair of saves.
Murphy receives All-Conference honors for the first time. The one-time ECC Player of the Week has started 40 games and is hitting a team-high .338 with a team-high 25 RBI, 29 runs, 47 hits, 15 doubles and 12 stolen bases. She is currently second in the ECC in doubles and is sixth in stolen bases. The sophomore went 3-for-5 with a season-high four RBI in the win over Bloomfield on March 10th.
Reyer is tabbed All-Conference for the first time in her career. The sophomore has appeared in 33 games making 32 starts with a .314 average, 27 hits, 12 runs, three triples, seven RBI and eight stolen bases. The outfielder hit a team-high .375 in ECC play with six RBI and seven stolen bases. She went 3-for-3 with two RBI in wins over D'Youville and Molloy.
