DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (June 3, 2025) - The Mercy University men's lacrosse team is ranked No. 16 nationally in the final United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division II Top 20 Poll.
Mercy earns the national ranking after going 10-4 on the year and being nationally-ranked all season. The Mavericks won their sixth straight ECC Regular Season Championship and qualified for the ECC Championship for the 10th straight season.
Head Coach Ryan MacSpadyen and the Mavericks had three USILA All-Americans, highlighted by senior Owen Stephenson who was named Second Team All-American. Stephenson was also named USILA Second Team All-Region, ECC Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-ECC, ending the season with 55 ground balls and 31 caused turnovers. Senior Ryan Smith was tabbed All-American Honorable Mention after being named Second Team All-Region and First Team All-ECC. The senior had 46 points on 22 goals and 24 assists, leading the team in assists. Graduate student Jimmy Osorio received All-American Honorable Mention honors after being named Second Team All-Region, ECC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-ECC. Osorio recorded a team-high 63 points on 50 goals and 13 assists, leading the ECC in goals and points per game.
