DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Women's Basketball Team is one of 10 teams currently under consideration for a spot in the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship, according to the first East Regional Rankings released earlier today. For this week, schools are listed "under consideration" for championship selection in alphabetical order.

Eight teams are taken from the East Region to make up the tournament field. The ECC, CACC and NE10 conference tournament winners earn automatic bids, leaving five at-large bids into the tournament. Mercy looks to qualify for the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three years and currently sit at 18-6 on the year.

Head Coach Scott Lagas and the Mavericks resume action tonight when they play at Queens at 7:30 p.m.
