DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Baseball Team is ranked tied for No. 8 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region Top 10 Poll.
Mercy is ranked No. 8 in the poll for the third straight week after going 2-2 last week with a sweep of STAC and two losses to Molloy. The Mavericks are currently 11-11 on the year and have been led by sophomore Matthew Hesselbirg who is batting a team-high .411 with a team-high 18 runs scored and by sophomore Ryan DiNapoli who is 3-2 with a 2.92 ERA in 24.2 innings.
Head Coach Chris Schoen and the Mavericks resume action on Tuesday when they host Felician at 3 p.m.
