DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Women's Lacrosse Team is ranked No. 12 nationally in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Top 20 Poll and No. 19 nationally in the IWLCA Top 25 Poll.
The Mavericks move up four spots in the USA Lacrosse Magazine poll and slide up six spots in the IWLCA poll after going 1-0 last week with a 17-16 win over No. 9 Saint Leo on Thursday. Mercy is currently 7-1 on the year and has been led by sophomore Ashlinn Kelly who has a team-high 27 points on 20 goals and seven assists to go with 12 caused turnovers, 24 draw controls and 23 ground balls. Freshman Jessica Grzelaczyk is second on the team with 26 points on 14 goals and 12 assists. The Mavericks are the lone ECC school in both polls.
Head Coach Dawn Sachs and the Mavericks resume action on Wednesday, March 25th when they host Molloy at 4 p.m.
