DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Baseball Team is ranked No. 8 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region Top 10 Poll.
Mercy drops two spots in the poll after going 1-4 last week with a win over Dominican and four losses to Molloy. The Mavericks are currently 19-17 on the year and have been led by junior Nevin Scaperotti who is hitting .404 on the year with 18 RBI and is 5-1 on the mound with a 2.11 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 59.2 innings.
Head Coach Chris Schoen and the Mavericks resume action on Friday, April 17th when they host STAC for a doubleheader at 12 p.m.
