DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Baseball Team is ranked No. 7 in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region Top 10 Poll.
Mercy moves up one spot in the poll after going 2-2 last week against St. Thomas Aquinas. The Mavericks are currently 21-19 on the year and have been led by junior Nevin Scaperotti who is batting a team-high .394 with 23 RBI and 41 hits and is 5-2 on the mound with a 2.56 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 66.2 innings.
Head Coach Chris Schoen and the Mavericks resume action on Thursday, April 23rd when they host Staten Island at 3 p.m.
