COLONIA, N.J. – Mercy University Women's Lacrosse sophomore Kayden Meyer (Mastic, N.Y./William Floyd) has been named the East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, senior Olivia LaMonica (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Township) has been tabbed Goalie of the Week for the third time and freshman Ava Franco (Coram, N.Y./Longwood) has been named Rookie of the Week for the fourth time. Seniors Kaci Bates (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon) and Andrea Mott (Miller Place, N.Y./Miller Place) and junior Riley Wallace (Islip, N.Y./Islip) received Honor Roll recognition for Week 10.
Meyer had three goals, two assists, two ground balls and a caused turnover as Mercy earned a 21-6 win over D'Youville on Saturday to secure the ECC Regular Season Championship.
LaMonica made six saves with just five goals allowed in 51:10 minutes of action to earn the win in Mercy's 21-6 Senior Day win over D'Youville on Saturday. The senior added two caused turnovers and three ground balls in the win.
Franco had a game-high six points on two goals and a game-high four assists to go with a team-high-tying four draw controls as Mercy earned a 21-6 win over D'Youville on Saturday to secure the ECC Regular Season Championship.
Bates had a game-high-tying two caused turnovers with one ground ball, helping lead a Mercy defense that allowed just six goals in a 21-6 win over D'Youville on Saturday.
Mott had three goals, an assist, and a ground ball in Mercy's 21-6 Senior Day win over D'Youville on Saturday.
Wallace had a game-high four goals with two draw controls and one ground ball in Mercy's 21-6 win over D'Youville on Saturday.
The award is the fourth this season for Meyer, the fourth for LaMonica, the fourth for Franco, the first for Bates, the first for Mott and the second for Wallace. Mercy has now earned 38 awards on the year.
Head Coach Dawn Sachs and the Mavericks resume action on Wednesday when they host D'Youville in an ECC Championship Semifinal at 3 p.m.
