Women's Lacrosse Nationally Ranked in IWLCA and USA Lacrosse Magazine Polls

DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Mercy University Women's Lacrosse Team is ranked No. 14 nationally in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Top 20 Poll and No. 18 nationally in the IWLCA Top 25 Poll.

Mercy moves up one spot in the USA Lacrosse Magazine Poll and remains the same in the IWLCA Poll after going 1-0 last week with a 21-6 win over D'Youville. The Mavericks are currently 13-3 on the year and have been led by sophomore Ashlinn Kelly who has team-high 59 points on 41 goals and 18 assists. Freshman Jessica Grzelaczyk is second on the team with 57 points and senior Emily Marino has a team-high 37 ground balls and 28 caused turnovers. Mercy is the lone ECC school in both polls.

Head Coach Dawn Sachs and the Mavericks resume action on Wednesday, April 29th when they host D'Youville in an ECC Championship Semifinal at 3 p.m.
