NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Mercy University Women's Lacrosse Team has earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Squad honors for the 2025-26 academic year, as announced by the organization earlier today. The Mavericks have now received the award in 11 straight years. Seniors Kaci Bates (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon), Maeghan Callow (Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge), Olivia LaMonica (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Township), Emily Marino (West Babylon, N.Y./West Babylon), Ashley McQuade (Northport, N.Y./Northport), Andrea Mott (Miller Place, N.Y./Miller Place) and Riley Wallace (Islip, N.Y./Islip), graduate student Kate McNally (Hillburn, N.Y./SUNY Oswego) and juniors Olivia Bradley (Commack, N.Y./Commack), Juliana Talenti (Bethpage, N.Y./Bethpage) and Olivia Van Dyke (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point) were also named to the 2026 IWLCA Division II Academic Honor Roll.
To qualify for the Academic Honor Squad, a school must have posted a 3.2 GPA or higher during the year. The Mavericks under Head Coach Dawn Sachs were one of 58 Division II schools to receive the honor. Mercy posted a 3.79 GPA throughout the 2025-26 academic year.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
Bates is named to the Academic Honor Roll for the second straight year. The senior graduated with a 3.76 GPA as a Business major. The defender started all 20 games, recording 13 caused turnovers and 12 ground balls.
Callow receives the honor for the second straight year. The senior graduated with a 3.52 GPA as a Nursing major. The Second Team All-ECC recipient appeared in 18 games and led the team with 64 draw controls.
LaMonica takes home the accolade for the second time. The senior graduated with a 3.91 GPA as a Health Science/Physical Therapy major. The IWLCA First Team All-Region selection, ECC Goalie of the Year, First Team All-ECC recipient, IWLCA Senior All-Star Game participant and CSC Academic All-District recipient went 13-4 in goal with 127 saves, a 10.12 goals-against average and .446 save percentage.
Marino is named to the Honor Roll for the second consecutive year. The senior graduated with a 3.87 GPA as a Psychology major. The defender was named ECC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for Women's Lacrosse, IWLCA Second Team All-American, USA Lacrosse Magazine Third Team All-American, IWLCA First Team All-Region, ECC Defender of the Year, First Team All-ECC, CSC Academic All-District and played in the IWLCA Senior All-Star Game. Marino started all 20 games and led the ECC with 50 ground balls and was second with 37 caused turnovers.
McQuade receives the award for the first time. The senior graduated a year early with a 3.97 GPA as an English major. McQuade also earned the department's Female Neil Judge Student-Athlete of the Year Award.
Mott earns the award for the second time. The senior graduated with a 3.95 GPA as a Health Science/Physical Therapy major. Mott was named Second Team All-ECC and CSC Academic All-District after appearing in all 20 games with 29 goals, 19 assists and 15 ground balls.
Wallace receives the award for the first time. The senior graduated a year early with a 3.94 GPA as a Criminal Justice major. Wallace was named IWLCA Second Team All-Region, First Team All-ECC, the ECC Championship's Most Outstanding Player and CSC Academic All-District. The senior appeared in all 20 games making 19 starts with 41 goals, 10 assists, 48 draw controls, 25 ground balls and 20 caused turnovers.
McNally takes home the award for the first time. The graduate student has a 3.94 GPA as a School Counseling major. McNally appeared in eight games and recorded five goals, six ground balls and five caused turnovers.
Bradley is named to the Honor Roll for the first time. The junior has a 3.51 GPA as a Nursing major. Bradley appeared in four games and made one save in 51 minutes of action.
Talenti receives Honor Roll recognition for the first time. The junior has a 3.64 GPA as a Health Science/Physical Therapy major. Talenti started all 20 games and had 18 goals, 21 assists and 16 ground balls.
Van Dyke earns Honor Roll accolades for the first time. The junior has a 3.92 GPA as a Nursing major. Van Dyke appeared in seven games and scooped up two ground balls.
