COLONIA, N.J. – Mercy University Men's Lacrosse juniors Christopher Bergersen (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) and Cameron Dorfman (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip), sophomores Cole Hunsberger (Waterloo, Ontario/Grand River Collegiate Institute), Trey Weinstein (Kitchener, Ontario/Newberry College) and Michael Mitrano (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) and freshman Dean Kott (Farmingdale, N.Y./Farmingdale) have been named to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll for Week Eight.
Bergersen had a team-high-tying three goals with four ground balls in Mercy's 10-7 win at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.
Dorfman made nine saves with just seven goals allowed to go with four ground balls in Mercy's 10-7 win at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.
Hunsberger had a team-high four points on three goals and an assist to go with one ground ball in Mercy's 10-7 win at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.
Weinstein had a game-high three caused turnovers with three ground balls, a goal and an assist in Mercy's 10-7 win at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.
Mitrano went 11-of-18 on faceoffs with five ground balls in Mercy's 10-7 win at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.
Kott had a goal and a game-high two assists to go with one ground ball in Mercy's 10-7 win at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.
The award is the first for Bergersen this season, the fourth for Dorfman, the fifth for Hunsberger, the first for Weinstein, the second for Mitrano and the second for Kott. Mercy has now earned 25 awards on the year.
Head Coach Ryan MacSpadyen and the Mavericks resume action on Saturday when they play at Molloy at 12 p.m.
