DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Mercy University Baseball junior Nevin Scaperotti (Stormville, N.Y./Carmel) has been named National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) First Team All-Region, as announced by the organization earlier today.

Scaperotti is named All-Region for the first time in his career after being named First Team All-ECC earlier this month. The three-time ECC Pitcher of the Week made 13 starts on the mound and went 6-2 with a 3.22 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 86.2 innings pitched. The five-time ECC Honor Roll recipient tied the single-season school record for wins and recorded his 100th career strikeout earlier in the season. The junior ranked second in the ECC in ERA, fourth in wins, sixth in strikeouts and was first in innings pitched. Scaperotti also hit .350 with 49 hits, 27 RBI and nine doubles.
