DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Mercy University Softball junior Averi Miller (Las Vegas, Nev./Arbor View) has been named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Second Team All-Region, as announced by the organization earlier today.
Miller is named All-Region for the first time in her career after being named First Team All-ECC earlier this month. The junior has started all 43 games and is hitting a team-high .408 with 30 RBI, 11 doubles, 58 hits, 28 runs, four triples, a home run and a team-high 14 stolen bases. The five-time ECC Honor Roll recipient leads the team in hits and triples and is second on the team in doubles. Miller ranks fifth in the ECC in average, is third in hits and is fifth in stolen bases. The shortstop also recorded her 100th career hit during the season.
