DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Mercy University Baseball junior Nevin Scaperotti (Stormville, N.Y./Carmel) has been named Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Second Team All-East Region, as announced by the organization earlier today.

Scaperotti earns All-Region honors from D2CCA for the first time in his career after earning NCBWA First Team All-Region honors last week. The three-time ECC Pitcher of the Week made 13 starts on the mound and went 6-2 with a 3.22 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 86.2 innings pitched. The five-time ECC Honor Roll recipient tied the single-season school record for wins and recorded his 100th career strikeout earlier in the season. The junior ranked second in the ECC in ERA, fourth in wins, sixth in strikeouts and was first in innings pitched. Scaperotti also hit .350 with 49 hits, 27 RBI and nine doubles.
