DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Mercy University Baseball junior Dylan Koch (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Pace University) has been named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) East Region Hitter of the Week.
Koch hit a team-high .611 (11-for-18) with a team-high six RBI and five runs as Mercy went 3-1 on the week. The junior also had a team-high four doubles with a home run, ending the week with a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .632 on base percentage. The junior went 2-for-5 with an RBI in the win over Queens on Thursday. Koch then went 5-for-8 with three runs, two RBI, two doubles and a home run in the split at Queens on Friday. The junior ended the week going 4-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles and two runs in the win over Queens on Saturday.
The award is the fifth for Koch this season. Mercy has now earned 43 awards on the year.
