2012: Started all 32 games in which he played in centerfield… the only regular field player to post a 1.000 fielding percentage… led the team with three triples…ranked second with a .317 slugging percentage…tied for fourth with four doubles…scored 10 runs to rank fifth on the squad…was one of eight Mavericks to record at least 20 hits on the season (23), batting .221…posted nine RBI…went 4-5 on stolen base attempts…went 1-2 with a walk and double against Chestnut Hill on March 9…was 1-3 with one RBI and a triple against Dowling on March 21…went 2-4 with two runs against Bridgeport on April 7…went 2-3 with a run, double and triple at Dowling on April 14…was 2-5 with a triple, run and RBI against C.W. Post on April 27.

Prior to Mercy: An exceptional two-sport athlete...also plays goalkeeper for the men's soccer team at Mercy...named First Team All-State in both soccer and baseball...named the 2007 and 2008 Goalkeeper of the Year in soccer...recorded the most RBI (13) in one game in New York State...holds the school records for hits (52) and RBI (47) in a season...team won the 2006 state championship in soccer and 2009 state championship in baseball.

Personal: Born in Albany, N.Y....son of Basile and Colleen Papas...has two siblings, Noah (18) and Arianna (13)...majoring in sports marketing.
