Barrera continued her strong play in the month of December, averaging 13.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game on 46.9 percent shooting as Mercy went 4-2 during the month. The junior opened the month with a month-high 21 points to go along with four rebounds against nationally-ranked Assumption on December 1st. The one-time ECC Honor Roll recipient then had seven points and three rebounds in the win over Roberts Wesleyan on December 6th before posting 14 points, eight rebounds and four blocks in the win over Goldey-Beacom on December 10th. The forward then scored 13 points in the win at D’Youville on December 13th before netting seven points and seven rebounds at Daemen on December 15th. Barrera ended the month with 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the floor and 7-of-7 shooting from the line in the win at Post on December 21st.
