Sanchez had a strong month of October for the Mavericks, going 4-2-3 in goal with 35 saves, a .778 save percentage, 1.22 goals-against average and two shutouts to help lead Mercy to their fourth straight ECC Championship appearance. The junior opened the month with three saves in the Mavericks’ 1-1 tie against Molloy on October 1st. The one-time ECC Honor Roll recipient then had a month-high-tying seven saves against Southern Connecticut State on October 4th. Sanchez made three saves to earn the shutout win over Daemen on October 11th and made seven saves to earn the win over St. Thomas Aquinas on October 22nd. The goalie ended the month with four saves to earn the win in Mercy’s win at American International on October 29th.
