DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. (Aug. 22, 2018) – Mercy College men's soccer alum Adil Gowani (Huntington Station, N.Y./Nassau CC) has signed a professional contract with Tuxtla FC in the Third Division in Mexico.

Tuxtla FC was founded in 2017 and currently plays in the Liga Premier de Mexico Serie A.

Gowani appeared in 27 games making 17 starts in three seasons as a Maverick. The native of Huntington Station, New York was a Second Team All-ECC selection in 2015 and recorded the game-winning goal against Roberts Wesleyan during his sophomore campaign. Gowani, a captain last season, helped lead the Mavericks to the ECC Tournament last year and the program's most wins since 1998.
